Homework

How many of you Kindergarten teachers send home homework?  I thought about doing it this year, but I'm not real sure about it!  What are your thoughts and ideas?  Do you do it weekly or monthly?

FREE Number Word Cards

I made these number word cards to go up on a wall in my classroom! Feel free to take them and use them however you want to. This is my first time making anything and putting it on Google docs, so I'm sorry if it's a little messy! :-)There is also an extra page that has two number word "three" cards.  I don't know why. :-)

Link Within

I just discovered Link Within a little while ago and I was so excited to put it on my blog!  But it shows the same posts on every new entry and there are no pictures. :-(  I emailed the support people and they said it would be fixed in 24 hours.  I sure hope so!  Has anyone else had problems with this?

Wish List Linky Party

Really Roper is hosting a Wish List Linky Party!

I know as teachers, we always have something on our Wish Lists! I've got a few things on my teacher wish list that I would LOVE to have!

1. A SMART Board!

There are 3 of these in my school right now.  We all have Mimios, which turn your white boards into interactive boards using a pen.  But Smart Boards have SO much more you can do with them and they are a ton more interactive.  Maybe one day...

2. A Laminator!
Our school has a laminator, and our excellent PTA pays for the film to laminate.  But for these midnight projects I want to do on a whim, I want a Scotch Laminator.  I know they are $25 at Wal-Mart right now.  My birthday is Friday....hint hint hint :-)

3. A Store-All Teaching Easel

I would love something like this!  I gave my dad a picture of it to see if maybe he could build something similar.  The easel I had broke, and I would love something that had storage and space all around it!  Does anyone have one of these?  Are you able to read big books on it?  By looking at the picture, it doesn't seem that way, but surely there is a way to read a big book on this thing??

4. An AWESOME Listening Center!

Last year my class got brand new headphones, with a brand new CD player, and some great stories and CDs!  The kids love it.  The only problem is they were using a set of 4 on top of a milk crate!  I would love to have some kind of listening table where my kids could sit down, listen to a story, and then put the headphones back neatly.  Maybe one day!!

20 followers??  I'm SO excited!!  I hope that I can post things that will help you and are beneficial to you.  Once school starts getting back in and we start doing activities, I'll be able to post a lot more about what we do in the classroom!
